Don't Walk Alone

Do you often get the feeling
that the road you're traveling on
is a long, deserted pathway
you are traveling all alone?

Does the road just get more rugged
with each day that passes by,
and it seems you're getting nowhere,
though the harder you may try?

Do the curves become more twisted,
do the hills get much too steep,
till you're forced to face your weakness,
as you bow your head to weep?

Don't give up, for there is Someone
who, if asked, will walk with you
down this rough and rugged pathway;
One whose strength will get you through.

There is not a road too rocky;
not a hill that can't be climbed.
And, there's not a trail too twisted
that this Someone can't unwind.

This dear Savior's name is Jesus;
How He wants to be your friend.
If you'll let Him, He'll walk with you
on this pathway to the end.

and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall
be made straight, and the rough places plain."
