The
following poem was written by a wonderful
and talented man, Harry M. Fouts, and sent
to me shortly after Johnny passed away.
Thank you so much Harry!
God
Sent
An
Angel
God
sent an angel to earth last night to lead your Johnny home,
What happened when he came to him, I’ve written in this poem.
Be not afraid he said to John, your time on earth is done,
I’m taking you to Heaven now, to God and Christ his son.
You’ve
labored long and suffered too,
That’s why at last God sent for you.
You’ve earned a place in Heaven, by the things you did on
earth,
Your love, good deeds, and faith in God more than show your
worth.
Then
he placed his hand on John’s wrinkled brow,
And he said “Johnny come with me now”.
John
looked at him with a tear in his eye,
It
was at that very moment, he was ready to die.

John
smiled for a moment, that old familiar smile,
Yes John was at peace, first time in a while.
The Angel spoke softly to him once again,
He told him that God had removed all his pain.
Don’t
fret for those you’re leaving behind,
They’ll soon come to Heaven too.
Remember Jesus Christ Promised:
I’m preparing a place for you.
Then
his breathing grew shallow; his pulse became slow,
John said in a whisper, “I’m ready to go”.
Yes God sent an Angel to earth; he came in the dark of the
night,
Two Angels returned to Heaven, it was a beautiful sight.
Yes
God took John from us, up to that
Heavenly
Shore
,
Now he’s with
his loved ones that traveled the road before.
Grieve for John if you must, even shed a tear or two,
But always remember just how much, he loved every one of you.

Don't
grieve for me because I am gone,
For there will be a brighter dawn
I may not be here, but memories thrive-
And, in your mind, I am still alive.
My life was good because of you!
You made the skies forever blue.
You loved me with your heart and soul,
You made my life complete and whole.
Please don't be sad, and do not cry,
It's part of life to say good-bye.
Think of all the love we shared.
How much we gave, how much we cared.
You'll see my face when the sky is bright,
Or hear my voice in the quiet night.
My presence will be with you every day,
So, don't believe I've gone away!
And, one day when the time is right.
We will join hands in Heaven's light.
There'll be no sorrow and no more pain,
For God will join us once again.
