girl of about 12 years old handed a check to
a bank teller.
"You'll have to endorse it," said the teller
as he handed it back.
"What does endorse mean?" asked the little girl.
"Just sign your name like you do in a letter,"
explained the teller.
Smiley shyly the girl wrote, "Love Linda."
"My

"What does the dog do?" I asked.
"He can't stand it," she replied, "he walks away."

and Dad,
This isn't the time they make you write home
to your parents but I'm doing it anyway.
Sarah T. is in my cabin and I hate her quite
a bit but I have a new friend named Kathy.
She's neat and wears lipstick when the counselors
don't see her. The horses all know me and
Injun threw me just like he did last year. I'm ok.
You shouldn't have worried so much about
my clothes because I got plenty. I've only
been wearing the white t-shirt and my jeans.

My money is lasting ok but I might make some
moccasins and I will need $3.65. I never
found my toothbrush but it is only 3 more days
and I'm not going to waste my good money
since I got one at home. Give the hamsters a
a kiss for me and also each other. Kathy is homesick
and cries but I'm not. Except at night. But I haven't
cried yet just almost. The team went on a hike
yesterday but it rained. Oh Mother the food is just
pew. The kids in owlet cabin say ugh but in our
cabin we say pew. Don't worry about me.
