Our hearts were surely broken
As we heard in disbelief
Of your passing, oh so sudden
Now a world is filled with grief.

You taught us all the value
Of each animal on earth
Big and small, and in between
We’ve learned they each have worth.

Your lessons we will all remember
And the joy with which you taught
You brought laughter, fun and happiness
Into every single heart.

I think I hear in the distance
The animals as they weep
For they shall miss you most of all
As now you gently sleep.
