Poor Little Billy

Now here's a little story
I'm telling you it's true
It's about my little dog
And the vet we took him to.

My little pup was ailin'
So we took him to this vet
Who poked and prodded Billy
Then said, "I'm not finished yet!"

"Turn the dog around," said he
"I'll check his other end."
The little dog looked so sad
Like he didn't have a friend!

"I think we need some x-rays,
And some tests we need to do,
And how about an ultra sound
I'm sure we'll need that too!"

When finally he finished
He then gave us the bill
My husband turned as white as chalk
And he became quite ill.

"Eleven hundred dollars!
There must be some mistake!
He's just a little tiny dog!"
And he began to shake!

For you see the cure was simple
For Billy's tummy ache
"Give him Pepto Bismol,
And he'll be fine for Heavens sake!"
