Prayer Answered

Lord, once again we come to You
We're humbled as we pray
For the answer that You sent to all
For the love You sent that day.

We asked for courage laced with strength,
And Your guidance to see us through
We asked for wisdom for our leaders
And endurance we asked for too.

Your answer came so swiftly
I know You heard our call
For today we're filled with courage
One nation proud and tall.

With strength You filled our rescuers
As they worked throughout each night
Filled with love for their fellow man
They dug with all their might.

We asked for wisdom for our leaders
That they might take a stand
To fight the evil in the world
That came to our great land.

We asked that You unite us
And to keep our nation free
We've come together, all of us
From sea to shining sea.

We thank You Lord for answering
You've given us so much
Our hearts are filled with wonder
At Your loving gentle touch.
