Reflections
In the sunset of my life..
As time is winding down..
I reflect on things I’ve done..
While time may still be found!
Did I show my Savior’s love…
Or cast on Him disdain?
Did I honor the Lord above…
Or shame His holy name?
Did I offend someone, some way?
Or cause someone to sin?
Did I bring joy to them…
Or make of them a friend?
Did I take some time…
Somewhere along the way…
To show someone my love…
Or take the time to pray?
Have I been a light…
To someone on their way?
Or have I been preoccupied …
With things that make my day?
Could I have been more gentle…
With those I love so dear?
Especially with the little ones…
And hold them oh so near!
Will the Lord be pleased with me…
If He should come today…
Or would He hide His face…
And send my soul away?
I’ve tried to be faithful…!
I did my very best.
I trusted Him to guide me…
And He has done the rest!
