Summer

Hummingbirds and butterflies
And flowers smelling sweet,
Skies of blue and cotton clouds
Make summer days so neat!

The song of birds fill the air
From a choir up in the trees,
The soft buzzing of a bumble bee
That carries on a breeze.

Rolling hills of grass so green
Grand trees provide us shade,
Wildflowers dot the peaceful scene
Summer days I wouldn't trade.

At the end of a lovely sun filled day
Comes the magic of a summer night,
Fireflies dance across the sky
And a million stars fill my sight.

Night time noises come to me
As I close my eyes to rest,
Chirping, whirring, soothing sounds,
I think summer is the best!
