Together

We sat and watched in horror
As events unfolded that day
Each of us held our breath
And we all began to pray.

So many lives changed forever
We'll never be the same
Fires raging, tears flowing
The day the terrorists came.

But through it all our faith was strong
As we bowed our heads to pray
We shall stand together one and all
For there is no other way.

I have raised my flag for all to see
And my heart is filled with pride
For all the people in America
In spirit, we stand...side by side.

We rushed to help in anyway
With blood, prayers, and sweat
Volunteers came out in droves
We're not beaten yet!

We feel that we've been tested
And maybe that is true
But we passed with flying colors
Our own...Red, White and Blue!
